About Flint, TX
Flint, TX is an unincorporated community about 10 miles south of downtown Tyler, TX. It’s located in southeast Smith County at the intersection of Farm roads 2868 and 346 and Old Jacksonville Highway (2493). The community was originally named for Robert P. Flynt, a local landowner, but the spelling was changed to Flint when the post office opened in 1887.
Flint is surrounded by the communities of Gresham, Bullard, Noonday, and of course, Tyler. Because it is unincorporated, the exact population is unknown. However, the town has experienced a recent boom in population and development as a “bedroom community” for Tyler, TX, meaning that many residents who live there commute to jobs in the city of Tyler. As more people make Flint their home, more businesses have found the opportunity to serve the locals. This means that Flint is currently home to lots of new construction for homes and businesses.
Plumbing Needs in Flint
Flint has a combination of attributes that lead to a variety of plumbing needs. Because it is an old community dating back to the 1800s, there are a number of older structures with old plumbing. Those systems need to be treated with great care when repairs and replacements are needed.
However, the number one need in Flint is for new construction, business, and residential plumbing services. As new residents move into the community, new houses and developments are breaking ground all the time. Plumbing is so important for those new builds, and reliability is a huge concern for builders. When plumbers are late or miss their deadlines, it can hold up a whole building project and keep a family out of their home. The same is true for new businesses. Those small business owners know more than anyone that time is money, and they can’t start serving the community and making a profit until they can move into their space. This is a commitment that any local plumber should take very seriously.
Additionally, new homes mean more residential repair and maintenance needs. No matter how new or high quality a plumbing system is, issues will always come up. As long as grease is accidentally poured down the drains, toddlers flush toys down the toilet, or landscapers burst a pipe, plumbers will be needed. Life is happening in Flint, and we’re here to keep it flowing.
